Video: Nonu’s try against the Reds
The big All Black centre made his presence known against the Reds in Round 7 of the 2013 Super Rugby tournament.
Despite the Highlanders loss to the Reds on Friday, 29 March 2013, the men from Dunedin can take some pride in their performance against the 2011 Super Rugby champions.
The return of Ma’a Nonu to the side definitely added some strength in the mid-field and the big All Black centre made his presence known from the opening whistle.
Nonu delivered a momentum-shifting hit on Reds flyhalf Quade Cooper, but his best moment came in the 67th minute, as the powerful centre slipped through the Reds defence and scored following some impressive play from the Highlanders.
