When was the last time you did something for the first time?

Doing something for the first time can be as nerve-racking as watching your team in a World Cup final, or going on a first date, then realising you’ve left your wallet at home.

Despite the cringe-worthy embarrassment of the mentioned scenario, throwing yourself out of your comfort zone and into something new can be a rewarding and exciting challenge.

Vodafone is helping some people overcome obstacles in order to achieve their “first” – whether it be a Ghanaian football team heading to England to play in their first tournament, or participating in your first female fight-club; it just takes a little bit of courage and support to achieve something new – even if it that goal is getting punched in the face.

These “firsts” help us progress and take that leap forward in our lives, even if they are the smallest of steps, because sticking with being “safe” and falling into a routine isn’t an ideal way to live. As they say: variety is the spice of life, right?

The latest goal has to get unsigned band Only The Young on one of the world’s biggest stages, Wembly Arena, for a once-in-a-lifetime gig in front of 80,000 people. Talk about stepping it up!
